Grape: Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca
Tasting Notes: Plum, Chocolate, Cherry, Fig
Founded by Adriano Ramos Pinto in 1880. Over the years, Casa Ramos Pinto meticulously studied this Duoro Region, and eventually became the owners of a number of estates with very special characteristics.
This fresh, young port is aged three years in large chestnut casks. These flavors cascade across the palate: cherries, raspberry, plums, brambles, blueberries, cinnamon, fig, pomegranate and dark baking chocolate. The very high acid nicely balances the sweetness. The finish is persistent and aromatic, leaving the opulent fruit flavors reverberating on the palate. It pairs very well with duck salad, red fruit desserts and any type of cheese.
