Steeped in history, innovation and excellence have been at the heart of Piper-Heidsieck since 1785. Florens-Louis Heidsieck founded his Champagne House with the dream to create a ‘cuveé worthy of a queen’. That dream was realized when he boldly presented his first cuvee to Queen Marie Antoinette and she declared love at first sip. The Heidsieck name was combined with the Piper name in October 1839. Piper-Heidsieck’s red carpet reputation is world-renown at film festivals across the globe, and it is also the official sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Awards and has appeared in many notable films.
Rose Sauvage, meaning Wild Rose in French, is not your typical Champagne Rose. It has bright racy texture, integrated tannins, lovely acid structure, is full-bodied, and distinctly elegant. The generous palate bursts with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, currant, pink grapefruit, black tea, licorice, and blood orange along with spice and herbal notes. It culminates with a lingering, mineral-laced finish. Will pair well with a variety of food including, fish, white meats and tea infused duck.
