Dalton Winery is a gem located in Upper Galilee with vineyards planted at 650-900 meters above sea level. Their proximity to the their vineyards allows the winemaker to constantly monitor the vines and ensures that the grapes arrive in the winery immediately after harvesting and do not have to suffer the indignity of traveling many hours in the midday sun, before they are processed. The grapes for the Alma Scarlet GSM came from separate vineyards that were picked and fermented separately. It has rich earthy characteristics of leather, dried fruits, and licorice with underlying floral notes and wild raspberries. It is medium bodied with a touch of spice and very well balanced.
