Tasting Notes: Apple marzipan, Apricot, Brown rice, Banana

The designation of Tokubetsu means that this is a “special” product to the brewer. This is a true gutsy Niigata style sake. On the palate it is soft, light bodied, smooth and earthy, with flavors of toasty brown rice and Apple marzipan with hints of vanilla, banana, and anise. The finish is long and clean. When chilled it makes a great companion for a sushi platter or gyoza dumplings, when gently warmed it's the perfect accompaniment for grilled salmon or roasted yellowtail.
