Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Berries, Dark Cherry, Earth, Cinnamon
Amalie Robert Estate was founded at the turn of the century by Dena Drews and Ernie Pink. Dena and Ernie left the corporate world behind and began a journey to pursue a vision. What they found was a beautiful cherry orchard, and the opportunity to take a hand in their own destiny. Wine & Spirits Magazine honored Amalie Robert Estate with Winery of the Year in 2011.
The grapes for the wine are 100% Estate grown, sustainable, and hand harvested. Crisp and vigorous on the palate, exuding flavors of pomegranate, cherry, strawberry, cranberry, oak, baking spice, freshly tilled earth and tea with bristling acidity. Fine, silky tannins emerge to segue the wine to its clean, red-fruited finish. A terrific value in mature Oregon Pinot, enjoy this handcrafted beauty now and over the coming four years with broiled salmon, grilled ahi, roast chicken, or pastas with wild mushrooms.
