Now a 3rd generation winery, established by the Devitt family in 1975, Ashbrook completed its 40th vintage in 2018. Only grapes handpicked and grown on the Estate are used. Australia’s pre-eminent wine authority and critic, James Halliday, has awarded Ashbrook Estate a five star rating, an accolade afforded to only Australia’s top wineries.
Two years in French oak and two years bottle maturation produce a classical wine of elegance with complexity. Full bodies and flavor packed (red berries, plum, blackberry, raspberry, leather, hints of cassis, oak spice, mint, vanilla, and eucalyptus). Definitely a meat wine.
