Bold: Black Currant, Blackberry, Vanilla Notes, Structured
Created in 1991, the estate was purchased in 2000 by Madeleine and Jacques Philippe, who realized their dreams when their wine obtained Cru Bourgeois status in 2003. The meticulously farmed plots, situated on a hilly terrain of gravelly soil with underlying calcareous clay, have been gradually grouped together and replanted and the winemaking facilities are thoroughly modern.
73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, the wine is aged in French Oak barrels for 12 months, one third of which are new. The wine is well structured and has some ageing potential.
