Long Meadow Ranch came into existence when President Ulysses S. Grant signed a land patent granting 640 acres to Civil War veteran E.J. Church. In the late 1800's the property thrived with vineyards, apple orchards, and olive groves, however, all agricultural activities fell dormant during prohibition. It was not until 1989, when the Hall family purchased the estate, that agricultural activity resumed. Today, the 650 acre estate is home once again to vineyards, orchards, olive trees as well as cattle and other produce.
The LMR Rosé is a wonderfully clean and refreshing style of rosé. It is at once soft and vibrant, yet has nice depth and is full bodied. On the palate fruit (raspberries, red cherries, strawberry, melon, citrus, and peach) and floral notes intermix. It will pair perfectly with Brick-cooked chicken and garden vegetables or try an inspired pairing with shucked oysters or steamer clams.
