Tasting Notes: Toffee, Baking Spices, Marzipan
This is an absolutely awesome rum from the legendary Ron Zacapa, located high in the mountains of Guatemala. The rums used are aged between 6 and 23 years old and are blended together in a solera, resulting in a rum unlike any other. The nose is full of apricots, citrus fruits, vanilla, cocoa and bourbon. With a lovely liqueur like density, the palette is chock full of spicy chocolate flavors that never seem to end. Winner of a Platinum medal and ranked in First Place by the prestigious Beverage Tasting Institue in Chicago, with a whopping 97 points, this could seriously be the greatest rum in the world!
