Grape: Pinot Grigio
Tasting Notes: Bartlett Pear, Apple, Citrus, Mango
A Pinot Grigio from the Alto Adige region of Italy that proves Pinot Grigio actually does taste like something, and in this case – something good. An architect by trade, Elena Walch married into one of the oldest and most significant wine families of the Alto Adige and brought new, modern concepts to the traditional establishment. Now, the responsibility for the family business has been turned over to her daughters, Julia and Karoline Walch, the fifth generation.
The Elena Walch Pinot Grigio is solid year after year. It is always fresh, round in texture, well structured with crisp acidity. Flavors of apple, pear, peach, lemon, lime, yellow plum and floral abound. Drink chilled on its own or best alongside antipasti.
