Grape: 88% Sauvignon Blanc 12% French Colombard
Tasting Notes: Lemon Peel, Pear, Grapefruit, Green Herbs
The 2018 Leese-Fitch Sauvignon Blanc is a nicely balanced, light to medium bodied wine. It leans towards New Zealand in style and offers a grassy edge along with juicy flavors of ripe pear, apple, melon, tangerine, lemongrass, grapefruit, and a pinch of herbaceousness. The finish is crisp with grapefruit and herbal notes. Suggested pairing: fresh pear & arugula salad topped with candied walnuts, gorgonzola & aged sherry. It's also a perfect complement to spicy dishes such as carnitas tacos topped with salsa verde, or chicken tikka masala over basmati rice.
