From their estate in Fumane di Valpolicella, the Allegrini family has played a formative role in the production of Valpolicella Classico for centuries. This 2017 Valpolicella is youthful, lush, and aromatic. Deep ruby coloration with hints of blue match well with the jammy, ripe red fruit flavors and soft tannins. Peppery on the finish, with hints of forest floor. Will age well and peak most likely in the next three years. A great wine for food, especially as a pairing with smoked meat and cheese.
