ALPHA ESTATE is situated in the “AMPELIA” region, in the heart of the Amyndeon district, an area of VQPRD wines in the northern part of Greece. Alpha Estate was founded in 1997 by the experienced viticulturist Makis Mavridis and chemist-oenologist Angelos Iatridis, who, after years of experience in various locations of Greece, chose the Amyndeon region to create his own wine.

This highly rated single vineyard wine is full bodied, complex, balanced, and opulent   with rounded tannins, crispy acidity and well integrated wood tones. The silky palate supplies flavors of strawberry, red cherry, leather, earth, tobacco, red currant, and sweet spices (vanilla, pepper, clove), with hints of ripe blackberry. Perfect match with juicy red barbecued meats, spicy sausages, and  stewed rabbit.
