Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Raspberry, Plum, Cranberry, Leather
The three owners (Webster Marquez, Anthony Filiberti and David Low) crossed paths while working at Williams-Selyem in 2003. They started Anthill Farms in 2004. The partners themselves farm many of the small plots where they source their grapes.
The Hawk Hill Vineyard is just 5 miles from the Pacific. The two decades old vines work late into the fall to ripen. This vineyard produced a ripe and concentrated 2019 and developed detailed flavors of raspberry, cranberry, plum, leather, herbs with earthy tones and new oak richness. Really nice with grilled steak.
