Tasting Notes: Red Fruits, Flowersl, Mineral, Spice
Beni di Batasiolo is the largest family-owned wine producer in Italy's Piedmont region. Since 1978, the winery has grown to encompass over 320 acres of vineyards. The estates' soil, climate and position among the hills produce a range of noble, elegant wines. The Boscareto vineyard in the Serralunga D'Alba commune produces a bold style of Barolo that is elegant with great body.
Full bodied but on the pretty side for a Barolo with young, vibrant, supple tannins, and remarkable structure. Aromas and flavors are typical of Barolo/Nebbiolo - plum, raspberry, cherry, mineral, tar, asphalt, balck pepper, and flowers but leans more towards the fuit and floral side. A good match for red meats, roasts, and hard cheeses.
