Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Black Cherry, Pomegranate, Raisin, Licorice
With one stellar release after another, Gevrey-Chambertin has in recent years become emblematic for winemaker Benjamin Leroux. Sourced by his team from four different lieux-dits in the Bourgogne region, the terroir characteristics are through his master craftsmanship displayed with the utmost of subtlety and precision. Deep crimson in the glass, the nose is redolent of red fruit, tart pomegranate, black cherry, sun dried fruit, licorice, and tobacco. Flexible tannins sweep like silken sheets across the palate. Ethereal grace and deep complexity combined in a superlative, transcendental harmony.
