Grape: Tannat
Tasting Notes: Plum, Blackberry, Graphite, Leather
Named New World Winery of the Year in 2018 by Wine Enthusiast, Bodega Garzon continues to produce outstanding wines from Uruguay's signature grape, Tannat. Bodega Garzon is also noteworthy for its impressive, LEED certified winery.
Full-bodied, tannic yet polished and textured, with a myriad of flavors such as chocolate, oak, tobacco, leather, smoke, plum, blackberry, graphite, black cherries, plums, and spices. The finish is long with mineral notes. Pairs nicely with lamb. cured cheeses like Parmesan or a duck cassoulet. Pork ribs with barbecue sauce really harmonized with this great wine!
