Tasting Notes: Cherry, Strawberry, Mushroom, Oak
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine estates and one of the largest landowners in the Côte d’Or. Over the centuries, the House has been devoted to attaining highly renowned parcels to produce exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today the estate boasts 130 hectares of vines, of which 12 are classed Grand Cru and 74 classed as Premier Cru.
This hidden gem from the Cote de Beaune is medium-bodied, well structured, dynamic and concentrated, it's deep and velvety, supple and balanced, with lively acids and finely textured tannins. The palate provides flavors of cherry, strawberry, leather, earth, mushroom, and oak with notes of complex herbs and spices. Pairs well with poultry or quail.
