Grape: Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: Peach, Apple, Hazelnuts, Oak
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine merchants and one of the largest landowners in the Côte d’Or. Over the centuries, the House has been devoted to attaining highly renowned parcels to produce exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. They joined the Henriot family portfolio in 1995
This Genevrieres is the best of Bouchard's array of Meursaults in 2017. It has good texture and weight, is well balanced, medium to full-bodied, deeply tensile and is impressively concentrated and nicely defined. Honey, white peach, toast, red apples, hazelnuts, spiced pears, crushed rocks, quince, and oak all mingle on the palate. It will pair perfectly with pan-fried trout with toasted slivered almonds.
