Tasting Notes: Cherry, Oak, Maple Syrup, Spice
For fans of Bulleit 'Frontier Whiskey,' the long awaited release of Tom Bulleit's rye whiskey ended earlier this year. Boasting a a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, a mix well above the legal requirement of 51% rye, fans of American rye whiskey will certainly not be disappointed with this effort from Bulleit. Bulleit Rye is aged a minimum of four years in new white oak barrels that are charred to level 4 (the highest level) which in our opinion provides the perfect frame for this whiskey's rye character to truly shine.
