With 40 harvests under their belts, and the second generation of winemaking Cakebreads now running the winery, this little family winery has become one of the most successful and respected wineries in America.
A consistent Sauvignon Blanc that is fresh and bursting with fruit flavors. The grapes are harvested in the cool nighttime hours to maintain the fresh flavors and crisp acidity. The fruit comes from Cakebread's own estate ranches in Carneros as well as respected vineyards in Napa, Rutherford, and Calistoga.
The wine was fermented in 80% stainless steel, 20% neutral French oak. Aged for 5 months in neutral French oak.
