Tasting Notes: Citrus, Lemongrass, Saline, Pear
The Martin Ray vineyard dates back to 1943 and was replanted in the early 1980's. It sits at 1800 feet up the Santa Cruz Mountains where the fog, ocean breezes, and cool sunlight sculpt the terrior. The 2016 Peter Martin Ray Chardonnay maintains its reputation for purity, balance, and restraint. It is wonderfully nuanced from start to finish. Clean and pure, with incredible focused acidity, this is the closest New World analog to the finest whites from Burgundy. Perfect for sipping with lobster!
