Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Cherry, Cranberry, Spice, Earth
Chanson has represented the best of Burgundy for more than 250 years. Marsannay is a village level located in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits. Chanson works it's own vineyards as well as with 4 growers in Marsannay who farm 11 acres, and has made this appellation an intense focus because of the serious quality the wines can achieve, and the sheer pleasure they can offer. Chanson was purchased by the Champagne Bollinger family in 1999.
This Marsannay is complex with a well-shaped structure. It has tight texture with well-crafted, soft tannins and medium plus acidity. Flavors of dark cherry, cranberry, strawberry, earth, tobacco and cinnamon arise as well as some light oak and slight minerality notes. The perfect partner for veal, pork with mustard sauce, or game.
