Château Cantenac Brown is located in Cantenac in the Bordeaux region of France. In 1806, John Lewis Brown -a Frenchman of Scottish origins- established the vineyard. As a wine of the Margaux appellation, it was classified as one of fourteen Third Growths in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. In 2019, Cantenac Brown changed hands and is now managed by the French family Le Lous.
This well musculed 3rd growth has great concentration is sleek and seamless, full-bodied and layered with refined tannins and finely beaded acidity. The harmonious palate presents black fruits, dark cherry, cedar, licorice, leather, tobacco, and hints of dark chocolate and smoke. The finish is elegant and long. Drink with a rib roast.
