The Perrin Family took over the Chateau de Beaucastel in 1909 following the devastation of phylloxera. They rebuilt and expanded the vineyards. This was the beginning of the modern age for Beaucastel in Chateauneuf du Pape. Today, Beaucastel is considered one of the best Chateauneuf du Papes and this vintage is no exception receiving ratings of 94 points and above.
