Tasting Notes: Red Fruit, Plum, Leather, Oak
Built in the 17th century, Chateau de Sales is largest estate in the Pomerol appellation. It is the only true chateau building in the appellation and has been owned by the same family for more than five hundred years. Theirs are wine to be aged.
Chateau de Sales wines are the expression of their terroir: fruit-driven, round and full-bodied, with good structure, smooth tannin, light acidity, refinement and elegance. Red fruits, cranberry, leather, earthy, meat, mushrooms, dried plum, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, and chocolate notes prevail on the palate. Enjoy its freshness with an oven-roasted game hen or with red meats or with stuffed mushrooms.
