Le Petit Lion Las Cases is the second wine of Château Léoville Las Cases. It shares the philosophy of its older siblings; it is vinified and aged in order to preserve its fresh, ripe fruit flavors throughout its life.
From young vines at Leoville Las Cases. The little lion is not a big wine, but it is charming and absolutely delicious. It's full bodied, well structured, plush, balanced and seductive with ample ripe tannins and moderate acidity. Black and blue fruit, oak, leather, tobacco, vanilla, earthy spices, violets, and cocoa nibs track across the supple palatte. Best served with all types of classic meat dishes: veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, or game. Good now but a couple years of age will do it well.
