Jean-Claude Mas started Domaines Paul Mas there in 2000 from 17 hectares of family land. Jean-Claude is a 4th generation grape grower and first generation winemaker. Their vines are grown in an exceptional setting, surrounded by olive trees, pine forests, oak trees, and orchards. The vines are grown using sustainable viticulture practices, with portions of the vineyards being organic or certified Terra Vitis.
The Clos Du Moulinas is well-balanced, well structured, and elegant with soft, ripe tannins and loads of complexity. The palate features black cherry, licorice, mineral, earth, red fruits, leather, tobacco, and warm spices. Mini Chateauneuf perhaps? Try with grilled red meats or pasta with tomato-based sauces.
