Grape: Gamay
Tasting Notes: Boysenberry, Plum, Forest Floor, Black Pepper
From gamay grapes cultivated on the volcanic andesite soil slopes of Mont Brouilly comes the signature creation of the Geoffray Family. Andesite (also called bluestone) gives wines made from grapes grown here a unique, blueish tint in the glass, along with notes of lavender on the nose and a gentle earthy undertone. The palate displays a multiplicity of red fruits, wild berries, and paprika, with smooth and dusty tannins. A lovely wine that will age very well, with peak expression in the neighborhood of the four to eight years. Pair with wild duck or roast pork tenderloin.
