Rich in history, the terroir of Château Lespault-Martillac was already used for vines in Roman times. It also turns out to be one of the oldest estates in Pessac-Léognan. Since 2009, the Bolleau family has owned the estate which is managed by Olivier Bernard owner of  Grand Cru Classé des Graves that is Domaine de Chevalier

The Lespault-Martillac red is round, supple, deep and fresh. It's medium to full-bodied with notable elegance and firm. tannins. Its elegant structure and finesse give it a well-integrated, very soft, silky mouthfeel. You'll find currants, flowers, plums, licorice, tobacco leaf, cassis. black cherry, mint, and wild sage nuances on the palate  The oak is nicely integrated on the chocolate-tinged finish. Pair with leg of lamb or roasted red meat.
