Established in 1850, this tiny estate is situated on Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau and is named after the neighboring church of Saint Martin. At 3.28 acres, Clos St. Martin is the smallest classified Bordeaux wine in Saint-Émilion.
This elegant, complex Grand Cru Classe wine has good structure, harmonic balance, and moderate plus acid with strong but integrated tannins. Nice velvety texture. It provides a true reflection of its terrior with flavors of plum, blueberry, cassis, spice, violets, earth, oak, chocolate, and mocha. The finish is long and filled with spice notes. Pair with lamb or beef.
