Fortune 1621 is a tribute to Darms Lane owner Larry Bump's ancestor, Edouard Bompasse, who arrived in Plymouth aboard The Fortune a year after The Mayflower.
The wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged 18 months in French oak, 25% of which was new. The rich, medium plus-bodied palate has lots of freshness and depth with balanced acidity and supple tannins.
