Fortune 1621 is a tribute to Darms Lane owner Larry Bump's ancestor, Edouard Bompasse, who arrived in Plymouth aboard The Fortune a year after The Mayflower.
The Wine is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc. It was fermented in stainless steel and aged 18 months in French oak, 25% of which was new. The rich, full-bodied Napa fruit has lots of freshness and depth. Only 928 cases produced.
