Grape: Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: Citrus, Apple, Butter, Mineral
It’s impossible to discuss Chassagne-Montrachet without mentioning the name Bernard Moreau. Year to year, this celebrated producer vinifies and bottles some of the purest, most thought-provoking wines of the appellation. Bernard produces Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that are sensual, opulent and utterly delicious.
The Moreau Chassagne-Montrachet is medium to full-bodied, satiny, succulent, and nicely concentrated with perfectly balanced acidity. Green apple, white pepper, fennel, lemon, lime, butter, oak, vanilla, mineral, and honey flavors ride across the expansive palate. The finish is long and mineral tinged. Thing roast whole chicken stuffed with herbs and lemon.
