Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Cherry, Spice, Earth, Licorice
Nearly 150 years ago, Victor Boillot created this beautiful small domaine with its three 1er Cru parcels. Today, the Domaine is owned and managed by American Mark O’Connell. They follow an organic and biodynamic regimen.
The Bressandes from Domaine Clos de la Chapelle is now the sole red Grand Cru in the estate’s lineup. The wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and impeccably balanced with well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity.
The smooth palate provides cherry, raspberry, earth, clove, licorice, and black cherry with some minerality showing on the finish. Try with lightly-seasoned preparations, such as roast chicken, poached salmon, or grilled vegetables. 87 cases made, 50 cases imported.
