The current owners of Domaine de Chevalier, the Bernard family, have a long history dating all the way back to 1155! Domaine de Chevalier is ranked among the Crus Classés for red and white wine in the Classification of Graves wine of 1953 and 1959.
The L'Espirit de Chevalier Blanc is one of the iconic white wines of Bordeaux, produced in small quantities and consistently receiving high praise from critics. This barrel-aged second label wine is classy, rich, layered, full-bodied, lively, and complex with very pure aromas. The fine tuned palate is extremely well balanced with lots of ripe fruit featuring vibrant citrus. apple, peach, baked pears, stone, lemon curd, and a hint of spice on the finish. Pairs well with steamed mussels in a lemon vinaigrette or lemon chicken.
