The Quiot family has roots in the production of wine in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape region tracing back to the mid-eighteenth century. In the modern era, under the guidance of Geneviève and Jérôme Quiot, they produce wines which are met with broad critical acclaim for their quality and representation of the regional terroir. This Chateaunuef-du-Pape Blanc is deeply layered, with honeyed citrus notes, ripe stone fruit, and fragrant, slightly smoky herbal aromatics. Most remarkable is the rich, buttery mouth feel present despite there being no malolactic fermentation (the wine is cold fermented and given long lees contact.) With age, will gain some more mineral tones and deepen in intensity. Pairs perfectly with seafood of all types, but with such richness, can hold its own alongside poultry and even pork.
