Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Red fruits, Spice, Mushroom, Cola
The domaine’s beginnings date back to the late 19th century when François Xavier Julien first purchased some vineyard land in Comblanchien and Nuits‐Saint‐Georges. Subsequent generations (Armand & Gerard) continued to purchases vineyards in other parts of Burgundy. Today Gerard's son Étienne runs the winery. who is focusing on improving the quality of the wines and is taking a more organic approach.
A very easy to drink Village Pinot Noir with good complexity, medium body, smooth tannins, medium high acidity and a good finish. Lots of varied flavors cross the palate including cherry, strawberry, red currant, tobacco, leather, mushroom, anise/licorice, and cola. Try with veal marsala.
