Grape: Chenin Blanc
Tasting Notes: Pear, Tangerine, Chalk, Ginger
Since its founding in 1928, Vouvray’s Domaine Huet has been the standard-bearer for great, age-worthy Chenin Blanc. And to this day, year after year, the estate produces some of the world’s most compelling white wines.
The Huet Le Haut-Lieu Sec is elegant, harmonious, subtly complex, fresh, and highly refined with buoyant acidity and persistent purity. The bone dry palate exudes flavors of pear, tangerine, orange, lemon grass, and chalky minerality, with ginger, honeycomb, cardamom, green fig and quince notes. Match with grilled salmon or a vegetarian dish. Can be consumed now or cellared for 5 plus years.
