The Lafage family has been winegrowers from father to son for more than 2 centuries. The winery is presently operated by Jean-Marc and his wife Eliane Lafage but Jean Marc's parents (Guy and Marthe) are still active in the business.
The Lafage GSM is sourced from 70-year-old vines. It's complex and balanced with tight tannins, medium to full body, vibrant acid, and an elegant mouthfeel. The lush palate exudes flavors of black fruits, cherry, earth, leather, pepper, and clove, with nuances of mushroom. Pairs nicely with a spice-rubbed pork loin or duck with cherry sauce.
