Tasting Notes: Citrus, Toast, Vanilla, Hazelnut
The Caillot domaine was established in the village of Meursault in 1962 by Roger Caillot, the father of Michel. Now under Michel's management, the Caillot estate practices organic agriculture and does not use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The whites are fined, but not filtered and generally are aged in 30% new oak barrels.
The Las Bras Santneay has great balance of fruit and acidity with a creamy texture, medium plus body, great purity and a crisp, long, and complex finish. The palate provides notes of light toast, lemon zest, hazelnut, vanilla. and minerals. Will pair well with salmon steaks or Spaghetti with squid ink.
