In 1978 Jo Pithon started his first winery, Domaine Pithon, in the Loire Valley appellation of Anjou. In 2008, with the help of his wife, Isabelle, stepson Joseph Paillé, and daughter-in-law Wendy, he reimagined the family business to form Pithon-Paillé. They farm 13 hectares of their own land and all of their grapes are farmed organically.

Dry and perfectly balanced with velvety texture and medium acidity, tannins, body, and intensity. The funky fresh palate provides flavors of earth, cedar, mineral, cherry, raspberry, spice, herbs, plum, and graphite. A classic accompaniment to charcuterie and paté.
