Tasting Notes: Apple, Pear, Mineral, Oak
This historic family estate was created in 1765 validated by the testimonial of a “tastevin” (a wine tasting cup traditionally carried by a sommelier) stamped with the year and the family name. Vincent Rapet and his wife Sylvette currently oversee the estate, and Vincent is known for his classic winemaking style.
Made from vines that range from twenty-five to thirty years of age, this beautiful white from Rapet is bright, elegant, full-bodied, focused, and well-balanced with a lovely core of fruit, good acids and grip and a long, complex finish. The oak is discreet and well integrated. There's flavors of green apple, pear, citrus, minerals, and coconut. Pairs well with crab cakes, creamy dishes or roast chicken.
