Hippolyte Reverdy’s family has been making wine in Sancerre for many generations—perhaps as far back as 1600. Initially, the bulk of their production was sold to the local cooperative. Kermit Lynch began working with the domaine for the first time in 1983. Kermit says that Reverdy has “become the benchmark domaine of our day.”
The Frnch definition of Sancere. Dry, high acidity, medium bodied, clean, crisp, and zippy. Pronounced flavors of lemon, lime, minerals, wet stone, apple, and melon. Long finish. Try with an Asian stir fry.
