Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Spice, Raspberry, Currant, Mineral
Emmanuel and Frédéric Humbert are the fourth generation of vignerons to tend this family estate. They took over the domaine from their parents in 1989 and since then they have been quietly and steadily improving the quality of their wine.
There is a purity to the Humbert wines that is really lovel. THeir Gevrey is well structured, medium body and acid, with easy tannins. The bold palate featuresripe cherry, plum, strawberry, raspberry and mushroom, violet, bitter chocolate mineral, and currant, flavors along with earth and game nuances. Think poultry or duck as the perfect match.
