Tasting Notes: Pear, Apple, Lemon, Saline
The Bessin family has been producing Chablis for over a century. Jean-Claude and his wife Evelyne are the fourth consecutive generation to manage the Domaine, and are now being assisted by their son. They practice “lutte raisonnee” – they plow between rows to encourage the vines to establish deep root systems and do not use pesticides. This is the flagship cuvée of the Domaine sourced from vines that are upto 60 years old. It's a rich, full bodied wine with tons of fruit and structure that drinks like a high quality Permiere Cru. Pear, apple, lemon and oodles of stones.
