Grape: 75% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault
Tasting Notes: Raspberry, Blackberry, Pomegranate, Spieces
Originating from grapes harvested at full maturity on the 13 hectare plot on the old Roux family estate, this Rasteau from Domaine Notre Dame des Pallières is brash, even a little bit wild. Maybe it’s due to the method of production, which has been taking place in this domaine for over a millennium and bears the traditional signature of generations that have long fallen from memory. Intense nose and a complex palate of raspberry, blackberry, pomegranate, toffee, chocolate, and leather. Round body, rustic tannins with a swirling encore of spice on the finish. A sweeping epic in a glass.
