Denis Cheron (Yves' father), saw the untapped potential in some of the region’s lesser-known appellations back in the early 1960s and left Burgundy to set up shop in this sun-baked sub-region of Provence. Since taking over for his father, Yves has expanded the family’s vineyard holdings and now produces an impressive line of pure, elegantly-structured, Grenache-based reds.
The Cheron Vacqueyras is a f ull bodied, perfectly ripe, pure and elegant wine with a lovely texture. Plum, black fruits, tart cherry, blueberry, earth and spice roll gently across the palate. It’s delightful with mussels, pâté, and steak.
