A name that means “donna in fuga” (woman in flight) and refers to the story of a queen who found refuge in the part of Sicily where the company’s vineyards are located today. Donnafugata, founded in 1983, is guided by the fifth generation of the experienced winemaking Rallo family.
This highly rated fresh and cheerful white wine from Sicily is medium bodied with crisp acidity. Aromas and flavors are all over the board with stone fruits, tropical fruits, honeydew, Meyer lemon, Mediterranean herbs and tree fruits all making an appearance. Matches perfectly with vegetarian dishes and seafood.
