Tasting Notes: Mineral, Apple, Pear, Slate
If you’ve been thinking about diving into the world of German Rieslings then this light, fresh, and dry wine is for you. Half the grapes are sourced from the lower slopes of the Mosel and the other half from the region's steep slate cliffs, which makes it a vigorously mineralic and fun. Plus, this bottle is the brainchild of New York City wine broker, teacher, author, and longtime German wine champion Willie Glückstern.
The crisp palate rolls out flavors of pear, melon, flint, minerals, green apple, grapefruit, and lemon with some floral notes. Makes for a great pairing with oysters or spicy dishes like Thai, Vietnamese, or Mexican.
